Yesterday the 12th of September was a good day for African Fashion, most especially Nigeria. Superstar Davido in a collaborative effort with Made in Nigeria brand – Orange Culture – launched a new clothing collection at the popular Selfridges department store in London.
We interviewed Nigerian singer Fortune Angelo whose most recent single titled ‘Blow Me Away’ is garnering enough plays on the airwaves. He says he ventured into music to be like Michael Jackson, MC Hammer and co but that changed later. He’s currently an independent artist and not signed to any record label.

My Style of Music is Pop & Soul ,with just enough afro feel. My message is Love (God’s love).
You just released a single titled ‘ Blow me away’. Tell us all about it…Blow Me Away came from a place of sober reflection . Just thanking God for his love for me, and inspiring people to trust in that Love.
How would you describe your sense of style?
My sense of style ! Hmmm, I like to keep it simple . I try to balance everything . But I’m a huge fan of jackets .
Would you say you’re interested in fashion or you indifferent?
Sure , I like fashion .
Name 3 fashion accessories that you cannot leave the house without?
Well,this is Simple…
a) I can’t leave my house without wrist watch
And of cause (c) My Clothes …lol
What other things are you passionate about apart from music?
The good thing is, I do everything with passion . I love dancing , I’m a professional choreographer.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years with your music?
I see myself impacting lives in 5 years , its really not about me . I’m just here to do the will of he that sent me. So in 5 years I will be doing God’s work. Of course in a bigger way, on bigger platforms.
